Florian Bandel is an exceptional talent. For years the 28 year old has been at the very forefront of windsurfing. "None olympic racing" is his passion.
In 2015 he managed the jump to be among the top 15 - as an amateur!
 

Bandel earns his money as an investment banker in Private-Equity-Management. How he is able to keep up with the international world cup surfers and windsurfing professionals, despite his demanding job, is only to explain by strict discipline. At 6 AM he goes to the fitness studio. He keeps himself fit by daily strength training and boxing. Only occasionally he takes his surfboard to the nearby lake. Otherwise he surfs on weekends and on vacation.
 

Investmentbanking and windsurfing have a lot in common: Water is always in motion, the board is never stable and the wind is rarely blowing constantly.
